Savannah Goldfields (ASX:SVG) received two further environmental approvals for the resumption of gold production at its Georgetown gold project in Queensland, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
Environmental approval for the first phase expansion of the tailings storage facility was also granted.
Authorization to process Big Reef project material at the Georgetown gold processing plant was granted by the Queensland government's Department of Environment, Tourism, Science, and Innovation.
The firm is now advancing its plan to start mining at Big Reef in October.
