A winding-up petition has been filed against A Metaverse (HKG:1616) by Beitai Investment at the Hong Kong High Court, a Friday Hong Kong bourse filing said.

The petition, scheduled to be heard Nov. 26, was filed due to an alleged unpaid balance of HK$33.4 million due to the petitioner under a 2020 bond issue agreement.

The media firm had agreed to issue HK$43 million of 8% unsecured bonds maturing in 2021 to Beitai Investment in December 2020.
