China Vanadium Titano-Magnetite Mining Company Limited has announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, Aba Mining, has entered into a construction contract on 30 September 2025 for the upgrade and expansion of capacity at the Maoling-Yanglongshan Mine. The project aims to increase the mine's annual production capacity of iron concentrates by approximately 30% to 40% upon full optimisation of the upgraded facilities. The construction will be carried out in accordance with applicable national standards, requiring a temporary suspension of on-site production to comply with regulatory requirements. Following completion of the construction works, the company's management will have up to six months to conduct safety evaluations, initiate trial production, and secure all necessary approvals for a full-scale resumption of mining operations and commercial production. The company stated that the terms of the contract were reached after arm's length negotiations and considers the agreement to be in the interest of its shareholders.
