TPG Telecom (ASX:TPG) and Telstra Group (ASX:TLS), the provider handling emergency calls, are in focus after Optus Mobile, which uses TPG's spectrum, reported that a second service outage impacted emergency calls in New South Wales on Sunday, Sept. 28, according to a Monday report by The Australian.
Earlier on Sept. 21, a network failure during an Optus upgrade disrupted hundreds of triple-zero emergency calls across multiple states, after which, Optus launched an investigation into the incident.
The failure has now been rectified, the report said.
Shares of Telstra rose 1% in recent Monday trade.
