Tracsis plc has been selected as a technology provider for the Rail Delivery Group's (RDG) Digital Pay-As-You-Go (DPAYG) rail ticketing trial. As part of this collaboration, Tracsis will deploy its HOPSTA mobile app on the Harrogate to Leeds line, allowing passengers to use GPS-based smartphone technology to automatically track journeys and receive the lowest available fare without purchasing tickets in advance. The trial, launched in partnership with RDG, Great British Railways $(GBR)$, and the Department for Transport (DfT), will inform future nationwide rollout of digital ticketing solutions. If successful, the system is expected to integrate with Tap Converter, a central PAYG processing platform developed by Tracsis and RDG to streamline fare collection and settlement across UK transport networks.
