Altech Batteries (ASX:ATC) said that of the UPS battery options available, the Sodium Nickel Chloride batteries (SNC) are best suited for explosive atmosphere zones, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.

On Sept. 30, the company said it has started selling SNC batteries along with its production partner and SNC battery manufacturer Ampower.
