Ballard Mining (ASX:BM1) has received a works approval for the construction of up to a 2 million tonnes per annum processing plant and tailings storage facility at its Mt Ida gold project in Western Australia, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The works approval is the final approval required to enable mining and processing at the company's Mt Ida project, as the mining proposal and mine closure plan have been approved for the processing plant, tailings storage facility, and both open-pit and underground mining at Baldock deposit.
The company added that an "aggressive" exploration strategy to understand the ultimate scale of Mt Ida is its immediate focus.
