Dateline Resources Continues Gold, Rare Earths Drilling at US Project, Shares at Eight-Year High

Dateline Resources (ASX:DTR) said a series of infill and verification drillholes are being completed to support the bankable feasibility study at its Colosseum Gold-Rare Earth Elements Project in California, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.

The drilling includes work to upgrade the existing mineral resource and gather geotechnical data for mine design, while targeted drilling is testing recently identified magneto-telluric (MT) geophysical anomalies that may indicate additional gold-bearing breccia pipes proximal to the known deposits, the filing added.

The company is also drilling deep MT-derived targets prospective for rare earth elements and planning a targeted induced polarisation survey over select areas of the project, designed to pinpoint near-surface sulphide-rich zones for rare earths and gold drilling, or structures that might have been missed by the broader MT survey.

The first batches of samples from the current drilling have been dispatched to the laboratory, the company added.

The company's shares rose 9% to their highest price since March 2017 in recent Thursday trade.
