Global Payments Inc. announced that it has completed the sale of its Payroll business to Acrisure for $1.1 billion. The company said this move is part of its ongoing strategy to streamline operations and focus on its core payments and software solutions business. Global Payments highlighted that the divestiture follows the recent sale of AdvancedMD and is aligned with its broader transformation efforts, which include previously announced plans to acquire Worldpay and divest its Issuer Solutions business. The company noted that the timing of the Payroll business sale is expected to have a modest impact on adjusted net revenue growth for the merchant segment in the third quarter and a roughly 100 basis point headwind for the full year.
