Comcast (CMCSA) said Wednesday it launched five new "Lift Zones" in Chicago, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, St. Paul, Minnesota, and Federal Way, Washington, expanding its national initiative to provide free Wi-Fi, technology access, and digital skills training.
The company said the initiative is backed by a $50 million investment and that each site equipped with upgraded technology, workforce development programs, and on-site personnel.
Comcast said it launched its first zones in Atlanta, Houston, and Oakland in 2024, and plans to open five more by the end of 2026.
