Austral Gold (ASX:AGD) lowered its 2025 production guidance for the Guanaco gold mine in Chile to 11,000 to 12,000 gold equivalent ounces (GEOs), down from 14,000 to 16,000 GEOs, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The company said the mine is currently operating only the heap leach circuit as the agitation leach circuit remains temporarily offline following the workplace incident reported on Aug. 26.
The company added that, to date, about $1.3 million in proceeds have been generated from the partial sale of its equity portfolio to support cash flow needs.
The company's shares fell past 4% in recent Wednesday trade.
