NH3 Clean Energy (ASX:NH3) entered a memorandum of understanding with Mitsui O.S.K. Lines and Oceania Marine Energy for the development of clean ammonia bunkering operations at the port of Dampier in Western Australia by 2030, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The initial bunkering demand of 300,000 tonnes per annum of clean ammonia would represent around half of the planned production capacity from the first phase of the WAH2 clean ammonia project. The agreement is planned to support the final investment decision for the project planned for late 2026.
Its shares jumped 14% in recent trading on Tuesday, reaching their highest point in over three years.
