MacroAsia's (PSE:MAC) unit New Earth Water System broke ground on the 2 billion Philippine pesos New Earth Iloilo water supply project in Iloilo, Philippines, according to a Tuesday Philippine Exchange filing.
The project's first phase includes a 37.5 million-liter-per-day (MLD) water treatment facility, expandable to 50 MLD, along with transmission and distribution pipelines.
The project is scheduled for completion within two years and aims to address Iloilo's water shortages, the mining company said.
