Lamb Weston Holdings Inc., a leading global supplier of frozen potato products, has officially opened a new 40,000-square-meter production facility in Mar del Plata, Argentina. The state-of-the-art plant is designed to meet growing demand for premium potato products in Latin America, with the capacity to process 200 million pounds of potatoes annually and produce over 100 varieties of frozen potato products. The facility has created 250 direct jobs and is expected to generate around 3,000 indirect jobs. Approximately 80% of the products will be exported to Brazil and other Latin American markets, utilizing the strategic location of the Mar del Plata port. The company is also working with more than 100 local producers and has implemented sustainable practices to maximize resource efficiency and minimize waste.
