Capstone Copper Finds Copper Mineralization in Chile Project

Capstone Copper (ASX:CSC) found copper mineralization from its phase one drilling program at its Mantoverde mine in Chile, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

The results were up to 176 meters at 0.77% copper from 654 meters, including 24 meters at 1.5% copper.

The company has found district-scale exploration potential with the completion of a 10-kilometre induced polarization geophysical survey along the northern corridor, which has informed the location of high-priority targets that will be tested in phase two of the drill program.

Phase two will include two main areas of focus and is expected to commence in the fourth quarter, in which about 20,000 metres of follow-up drilling at the targets adjacent to the northern portion of the pit will potentially improve grades and add mineralization, the filing added.
