Dredging Corp. of India (NSE:DREDGECORP, BOM:523618) has appointed chief general manager, Capt. S. Divakar, as managing director and chief executive officer, effective Oct. 16, according to a Friday filing with the Indian bourses.

Divakar will hold the position until a regular appointee assumes charge, or for six months, whichever is earlier. The charge is on top of Divakar's current role, the company said.

Divakar succeeds Durgesh Kumar Dubey, whose tenure as managing director & CEO (additional charge) ends on Oct. 15, it added.
