NextNav Completes Demonstrations of 5G-Powered 3D PNT Solution

NextNav (NN) said Friday that it has completed demonstrations of its 5G-powered 3D positioning, navigation and timing, or PNT solution, delivering accurate timing and positioning information, with both downlink and uplink data transmissions.

The company said the demonstrations used Lekha Wireless Solutions 5G base stations and the results take the product a step closer towards commercialization.

NextNav said its 5G-powered 3D PNT solution is intended to complement Global Positioning System, or GPS.

NextNav shares were 2.2% higher in recent trading
