Hino Motors Ltd. has provided an update on its integration with Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation, revealing the new holding company name, headquarters location, and key personnel appointments. The combined group, now known as ARCHION, aims to deliver advancements in commercial mobility with a focus on sustainable transportation. Key synergies have been identified, including an integrated platform strategy to enhance products, expand the portfolio, and improve investment efficiency. The companies plan to consolidate domestic truck manufacturing bases to three locations by the end of 2028. ARCHION will leverage the expertise of Toyota and Daimler Truck in hydrogen fuel cell technology and accelerate development in autonomous driving and connected mobility. Both the FUSO and HINO brands will continue to compete in the market, strengthening product quality and customer offerings. Satoshi Ogiso has been named Director and CTO of ARCHION, as well as CEO of Hino Motors. Further details on the collaboration will be announced at a later date.
