News Corp's (NWS) The Wall Street Journal and Warner Bros. Discovery's (WBD) CNN said in separate Monday articles that they are among the media outlets that are refusing to sign the Pentagon's updated press pass policy.

The new policy restricts journalists' communication with military sources and access to certain areas in the Pentagon, among other things, according to The Wall Street Journal. News outlets said journalists were given until Tuesday to sign the new policy and those who refuse will forfeit their Pentagon press badges.

According to the reports, other major news organizations such as The Associated Press and The Washington Post are also refusing to sign the new policy.

On Friday, The New York Times (NYT) said its journalists will not sign the Pentagon's revised press pass policy, claiming that it "threatens to punish" the press for news gathering.
