HOCHTIEF AG has announced that its UK subsidiary, HOCHTIEF $(UK)$ Construction, has been awarded a major framework contract at the Sellafield nuclear site. The contract, valued at up to £595 million, is part of the Infrastructure Delivery Partnership (IDP) and will run for up to 15 years-an initial nine years with an option for a further six. The scope of work includes the design, engineering, and delivery of civil infrastructure supporting nuclear operations and decommissioning. The project is intended to support Sellafield Ltd's mission of nuclear decommissioning and waste management, and aims to bring investment and opportunities to the West Cumbria community. The contract was awarded following a competitive procurement process and forms part of a total IDP contract value of up to £2.9 billion involving HOCHTIEF and two other companies.
