Metallium (ASX:MTM) said the construction and installation at its Gator Point technology campus in Texas was advancing, and the commissioning of its first flash joule heating processing line was on track to begin in December, with ramp-up through early 2026 to reach the 8,000 tonnes-per-annum stage-1 operating level, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.

The first commercial flash joule heating line will focus on recovering gold, silver, copper, tin, antimony, and palladium from printed circuit board electronic waste. A dedicated specialty materials demonstration line, with a 350 tonnes-per-annum maximum target capacity for stage-1, will be installed to process rare-earth-element tailings, refinery residues, and semiconductor feedstocks containing gallium and germanium.

The stage-2 planning provides for a 16,000-tonnes-per-annum expansion by adding further processing equipment.

Its shares rose 4% in recent trading on Monday.
