Alphabet's Verily Offers AI-Driven Consumer Health App

Verily, a subsidiary of Alphabet, is offering a new consumer health app driven by artificial intelligence in an effort to provide more personalized treatment recommendations.

The data platform and technology company said Friday the app will allow licensed clinicians to review patient records across multiple providers and health systems to provide users with personalized recommendations.

Users will also be able to ask questions about their health records to an AI assistant, receive feedback and nutrition tips by logging their meals, and participate in a Verily health study.

The app aims to offer a simpler, more personalized and data-driven healthcare solution, the company said.

Members of Verily's Lightpath personalized care program, which is subsidized by employers, payers, and pharmacy benefit managers, will also use the app.
