Charter Communications Inc., through its Spectrum brand, has announced an expansion of its fiber broadband network in Jackson County, Ohio. This initiative will bring high-speed Spectrum Internet, Mobile, TV, and Voice services to nearly 2,400 additional homes and businesses in previously unserved or underserved areas, including Byer, Coalton, Oakhill, Pattonsville, Ray, Wellston, and Winchester. The expansion is part of Spectrum's multi-year rural construction initiative, supported by over $7 billion in private investment, aiming to add more than 100,000 miles of fiber infrastructure and offer gigabit broadband speeds to over 1.7 million new locations nationwide. Local officials praised the move as a critical step toward bridging the digital divide and boosting opportunities for residents and businesses in southern Ohio.
