Zenith Minerals (ASX:ZNC) began a reverse-circulation drilling program at its Red Mountain gold project in Queensland of up to 5,000 meters, which will fast-track definition of shallow extensions and lateral growth within the continuous gold system, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
Assays from a drill hole show a coherent gold zone extending beyond 530 meters of vertical depth, and include the first visible gold recorded at depth. It reported an intercept of 349.95 meters at 0.47 grams per tonne grade of gold from 232.05 meters.
