Meeka Metals (ASX:MEK) said production of 7,148 ounces of gold for the September quarter at an all-in sustaining cost of AU$2,133 per ounce, exceeded the feasibility study (FS) start-up plan at its Murchison gold project in Western Australia, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.
The processing unit cost of AU$43 per tonne was 19% lower than the FS plan and is expected to continue to reduce over the coming quarter, the filing said.
Shares of the company rose 1% in recent Thursday trade.
