Li-S Energy (ASX:LIS) said that it installed and integrated a lithium foil roller and laminator at its production facility in Geelong, Victoria, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.

The firm's team produced 20-micron lithium foils, which it claims are the first in the country, as well as a range of lithium-coated copper laminate foils.

The new equipment is being enhanced to coat lithium foils with the firm's proprietary Li-nanomesh nanomaterials at a production scale.

Its shares jumped 7% in recent trading on Tuesday.
