Kaiser Reef (ASX:KAU) said during its diamond drilling program within the Union Hill open pit, part of the Maldon gold project in New South Wales, 18 holes intersected gold mineralization, out of 19 effective holes, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
The firm encountered intercepts of 6.9 meters at 6.05 grams-per-tonne grade of gold from 30.4 meters, as well as 8.6 meters at 4.99 g/t grade of gold from 18.4 meters.
The program delineated mineralization in unmined portions of the Eaglehawk Reef, below the Union Hill pit, and the drilling results confirmed the presence of high-grade spur veins, consistent with historical mineralization.
Its shares fell over 3% in recent trading on Tuesday.
