Cisco Systems (CSCO) expanded its partnership with Abu Dhabi-based AI and cloud computing company G42 to build a secure artificial intelligence infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates, the companies said Tuesday.
Cisco will supply and integrate technology for a large AI cluster deployed by G42 using Advanced Micro Devices' (AMD) MI350X graphics processing units, according to a statement.
The system will combine Cisco's computing, networking, storage, security, and analytics tools, and operate within G42's Regulated Technology Environment, a framework designed to maintain compliance and prevent unauthorized access, the companies said.
The companies said the integration is expected to support the US-UAE AI Acceleration Partnership, which includes projects such as the Stargate UAE cluster in Abu Dhabi and a planned 5GW AI technology campus.
