QIAGEN NV has announced the launch of its new EZ2 DNA Investigator Sep&Prep Kit, an automated solution designed to improve the processing of sexual assault evidence samples. The kit, which will be showcased at the upcoming International Symposium on Human Identification $(ISHI)$ 2025 in Palm Beach, Florida, enhances sperm DNA recovery and separation from victim DNA, reducing manual handling and variability in results. The workflow delivers high-quality DNA ready for analysis in under 2.5 hours, using a novel lysis buffer and proprietary bead technology. The kit is intended for use on the EZ2 Connect Fx system and aims to set a new standard in forensic sample processing. Research results and the new technology will be presented at ISHI 2025.
