0715 GMT - Standard Chartered's third-quarter results were strong, Jefferies says in a research note. The three things that catch the eye in the London-based bank's print are a large earnings beat with strength in every line, the guidance upgrade for return on tangible equity and revenue, and a lower capital requirement, analyst Joseph Dickerson and associate Priya Rathod write. The standout performance of its wealth unit was also a highlight, they say. Beyond its upgraded 2025 view, the group will provide 2026 guidance for RoTE in February and share its midterm targets in May. "The implication of these upgrades have more bearing on 2026 and beyond," they add. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
