Woolworths Group's (ASX:WOW) shareholders rejected an amendment to its constitution at its annual general meeting on Thursday, with 91.67% of the votes cast at the meeting opposing the resolution, according to a same-day Australian bourse filing.
The proposed amendment had stated that the firm's shareholders could express an opinion via an ordinary resolution in a general meeting, asking for information, or making a request, "about the way in which a power of the firm partially or exclusively vested in the directors has been or should be exercised."
Such a resolution had to relate "to an issue of material relevance" to the firm or the firm's business.
