Arafura Rare Earths (ASX:ARU) Chairman Mark Southey said that rare earth market had reached a "tipping point" where action would be rewarded rather than waiting for the perfect market conditions and sentiment, as the evolution of the supply chain transformed its Nolans project from an "Australian mining aspiration into a global strategic solution," according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
Southey's comments came after Australia announced a $100 million equity investment in the Nolans project in the Northern Territory as part of a US-Australia critical minerals deal.
The firm's shares fell 5% in recent trading on Thursday.
