Weichai Power (HKG:2338, SHE:000338) reported net profit attributable to shareholders of 3.23 billion yuan for the third quarter, up 29% from a year earlier, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Hong Kong-listed shares of the firm were up 5% in Friday late-morning trade.

Earnings per share came in at 0.37 yuan, an increase of 29% year-on-year.

Revenue for the quarter rose 16% to 57.4 billion yuan.

For the first nine months, net profit attributable to shareholders increased 5.7% to 8.88 billion yuan, while revenue grew 5.3% to 170.6 billion yuan, the filing showed.
