Jiangxi Copper's (SHA:600362, HKG:0358) attributable profit rose 35% to 1.85 billion yuan in the third quarter from 1.37 billion yuan, after adjustments, in the year-ago period, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shanghai bourse.
Basic earnings per share at the copper miner increased 35% to 0.54 yuan from 0.40 yuan in the prior-year period.
Revenue grew 14% year over year to 139.1 billion yuan from 121.9 billion yuan.
Shares surged 5% in Shanghai in late-morning trade on Wednesday.
