CNA Financial Corporation reported net income of $403 million, or $1.48 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2025, up from $283 million, or $1.04 per diluted share, in the prior year quarter. Core income reached $409 million, or $1.50 per diluted share, compared to $293 million, or $1.08 per diluted share, in the same period last year. Year-to-date core income rose 5% to $1,025 million. The Property & Casualty (P&C) segment posted core income of $456 million, up from $346 million, reflecting lower catastrophe losses, improved underwriting results, and higher net investment income. The Life & Group segment reported a core loss of $22 million, and the Corporate & Other segment had a core loss of $25 million. P&C gross written premiums grew by 2%, and net written premiums increased by 3%. The P&C underlying combined ratio was 91.3%. CNA declared a quarterly dividend of $0.46 per share, payable on December 4, 2025. Douglas M. Worman was appointed Chairman of the Board, effective January 1, 2026.
