Sidus Space Inc. has announced the successful completion of the design phase for its FeatherEdge™ 248Vi edge computer, a next-generation modular AI and machine learning processor designed for spaceborne, aerial, and autonomous missions. The new device delivers a 2.5x increase in AI compute capability and 4x memory capacity compared to previous generations, while maintaining optimized size, weight, power, and cost for use in mission-critical space and defense operations. Key features include 248 TOPS of AI performance powered by NVIDIA® Jetson AGX Orin™ Industrial, 64 GB LPDDR5 ECC RAM, and a radiation-tolerant architecture supporting Low Earth Orbit $(LEO)$ and Geostationary Orbit $(GEO)$ missions. The FeatherEdge™ 248Vi is expected to be available for delivery in early Q2 2026. The results of this development have just been announced and have not yet been presented at a scientific conference or event.
