MPLX to Supply MARA's Electric Power Plants in Texas With Natural Gas

MPLX (MPLX) said Tuesday that it has signed a letter of intent with MARA (MARA) to supply natural gas to planned power plants and data center campuses in West Texas.

Under the terms of the agreement, MPLX will supply natural gas supply from its processing plants in the Delaware basin to MARA's planned gas-powered electricity generation facilities in West Texas, the companies said.

The companies said MARA will build power generation facilities and data centers near MPLX processing facilities in the Delaware basin with an initial capacity of 400 MW, which could increase to as much as 1.5 GW.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
