Asian Equities Traded in US as ADRs Ease in Thursday Trading

Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts eased Thursday morning with the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index down 0.2% to 2,687.15.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by automotive marketplace Token Cat (TC) and real estate tech company Eason Technology (DXF), which climbed 9.5% and 5.6% respectively. They were followed by data center operator VNET Group (VNET) and casino and resort company Melco Resorts & Entertainment (MLCO), which advanced 4.9% and 4.6% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by semiconductor company Himax Technologies (HIMX) and computer hardware maker Canaan (CAN), which tumbled 9.7% and 8.5% respectively. They were followed by semiconductor company AMTD Digital (HKD) and brand platform 36Kr (KRKR), which were down 5.1% and 4.2% respectively.

From South Asia, the only gainers were pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which were up 0.8% and 0.5% respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by telecommunications operators PLDT (PHI) and Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK), which dropped 1.8% and 1.7% respectively. They were followed by lender ICICI Bank (IBN) and IT firm Sify Technologies (SIFY), which lost 1.6% and 1.4% respectively.
