1000 ET - McDonald's is muscling into the increasingly crowded cold beverage markets, and believes its ability to offer cheaper versions of cold coffee, fruit refreshers and crafted sodas will help it gain over rivals. The company says on a 3Q earnings call that a test of new drinks in 500 restaurants has delivered additional sales, and it will keep its prices competitive if it chooses to roll them out to all U.S. restaurants.
