SoftBank Corp. reported revenue of 3,400.8 billion JPY for the first half of FY2025, an increase of 8% year-on-year, reaching a record high for the period. Operating income rose by 7% to 628.9 billion JPY, and net income increased by 8% to 348.8 billion JPY, both also record highs. The non-telecom share of revenue reached 63% in FY2025 H1, up from 47% in FY2020 H1. All business segments reported revenue and profit growth. The Financial Business segment, including PayPay Corporation and SB Payment Service Corp., saw revenue rise by 24% to 189.7 billion JPY and operating income more than double to 38.5 billion JPY, driven by a 100% increase in PayPay's consolidated EBITDA. The Distribution Business and Media & EC Business segments also posted double-digit growth in revenue and profit. SoftBank continued its Next-generation Social Infrastructure initiatives and launched a joint venture with OpenAI during the period.
