DoubleVerify Holdings Inc. and Roku, Inc. have announced significant progress in their ongoing collaboration to enhance trust and performance in connected TV $(CTV)$ advertising. Since 2023, DoubleVerify and Roku have partnered to block billions of fraudulent ad requests imitating Roku device traffic, leveraging Roku's proprietary Advertising Watermark technology. This partnership has also played a crucial role in uncovering and mitigating major CTV ad fraud schemes, such as CycloneBot and SmokeScreen, by combining DoubleVerify's Fraud Lab expertise with Roku's technical signals. In addition to fraud protection, the collaboration includes measurement capabilities for advertisers on Roku's home screen and native formats, helping brands effectively reach audiences on streaming platforms. DoubleVerify plans to introduce further advancements to the partnership by the end of 2025.
