NEW YORK, Nov 7 (Reuters) - New York environmental regulators on Friday approved a water permit for U.S. energy company Williams Cos' WMB.N long-delayed and controversial Northeast Supply Enhancement natural gas pipeline project in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The project is controversial in part because it was previously rejected by environmental regulators in New York and New Jersey and canceled by Williams before U.S. President Donald Trump sought its revival.
