Southern Cross Gold Consolidated (ASX:SX2) appointed current financial controller, Michael Frame, as chief financial officer, effective immediately, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

Frame succeeds Nick DeMare, who will become manager of the company's Canadian financial operations, the filing said.
