GlobalFoundries (GFS) said Monday that it has signed a technology licensing agreement with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) for 650-volt and 80-volt Gallium Nitride technology.
GlobalFoundries said the deal will boost development of products for data center, industrial, and automotive power applications. Development is set for early 2026, with production expected to begin later in the year, the company added.
GlobalFoundries shares were up 2.2% in recent trading, while Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing added 3.2%.
