Asian Paints Gets 3-Year Extension to Commission Madhya Pradesh Plant

Asian Paints (NSE:ASIANPAINT, BOM:500820) said the Cabinet Committee of Investment Promotion, Madhya Pradesh (CCIP) has granted it permission to commence manufacturing at its upcoming water-based paint facility in Pithampur within three years from the date of receiving environmental clearance (EC), according to a Wednesday filing.

The 20 billion Indian rupees project, with an annual capacity of 400 million liters, was earlier expected to be commissioned within three years of land acquisition, the company said in the filing.

It added that there is no impact on the incentives or benefits granted by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
