Meeka Metals (ASX:MEK) extended "high-grade" gold mineralization during a recent drilling at its Murchison gold project in Western Australia, according to a Monday Australian bourse filing.
The results were eight meters at 14.79 grams per tonne grade of gold from 44 meters, including two meters at 53.05 g/t gold.
The company said that the results continue to show potential to grow the resource and reserves, and will likely extend the stage one open pits beyond the initial two years previously planned.
Shares of the company rose 11% in recent Monday trade.
