Uni-Asia Unit Reaches Settlement Deal Over Oil Spill Incident in Vietnam

Uni-Asia's (SGX:CHJ) subsidiary, Mable Bulkship, entered a settlement agreement with the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, over an incident involving its bulk carrier named M/V Glengyle, which resulted in an oil spill in the Long Tau River Area.

The compensation will be made directly to the people's committee, according to a Wednesday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Meanwhile, the carrier will be released and towed to Vung Tau anchorage for repairs.
