Skyline Builders Group Holding Limited has entered into a non-binding letter of intent to acquire SuperCritical Technologies Corp, a U.S.-based developer of advanced technologies for extracting uranium and other critical metals from seawater. SuperCritical leverages proven technology developed by the U.S. Department of Energy's Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, utilizing specialized fibers to efficiently adsorb valuable resources from the ocean. This technology aims to help address the United States' reliance on imported uranium, supporting domestic supply chains for nuclear fuels and critical metals. The acquisition is expected to position SuperCritical as a cost-competitive supplier, with the potential for rapid production scale-up to meet increasing demand driven by the country's plans to significantly expand nuclear energy capacity by 2050.
