Marimaca Copper (ASX:MC2) said the results from its 10,000-meter discovery drilling campaign at the Pampa Medina deposit, part of the Marimaca project in Chile, continued to show extensions to the high-grade sedimentary-hosted sulfide copper horizon, as well as upside to the known extent of the near-surface oxide mineralization, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
It encountered intercepts of 48 meters of 2.05% grade of copper from 186 meters, as well as 38 meters of 1.48% grade of copper from 540 meters.
It began a 30,000-meter follow-up phase two drilling program, with five drilling rigs currently on site.
