Dreadnought Resources (ASX:DRE) submitted a mining lease application for the Metzke's Find gold deposit, part of its Illaara project in Western Australia, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The application allows for an extension of mineralization to the north and supporting infrastructure for an open-pit mine and haul operation to a third-party mill, the filing said.

Drilling will begin within the month, according to the filing.
